The DoS of GRC Revisited

Posted: 2008/12/11 in Information Security

[In keeping with the theme of the day] Being the Attacker can be fun (in that evil sort of way) but being the Attackee is never a good time. I often times recall the story told by Steve Gibson of GRC.com about his battle with a DDoS attack launched by a 13 year old hacker back in 2001. For anyone who has managed systems or infrastructures and has yet to read this I’m sure you will find this both funny and interesting. Because when (not if) it happens to you, you too will reach that point where you just have to say “WTF!”
