A Solana Beach man was arraigned Monday in federal court after being indicted for computer intrusion and extortion, officials said.
Bruce Mengler a 60 year old man seemed to have found a hole in a marketing website used by Maserati. The site was used for as a promotional tool for their new products but also seemed to collect various bits of customer information.
Not sure why its so hard for Businesses to comprehend sometimes.
If it’s accessible to the web it should be secured regardless of the information the server stores. I mean unless you want it to be attacked by someone.
